Diageo Crowns Thailand's Best Bartender for 2025
Diageo Moët Hennessy (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (DMHT), a leader in premium imported alcoholic beverages, has announced the winners of Diageo World Class Thailand 2025, the legendary bartending competition that has been creating phenomenal events in Thailand for over a decade. The company has been training and selecting competing bartenders from across the country for more than five months, searching for Thailand's top representative to compete on the global stage. This initiative also contributes to promoting Thai tourism on the world stage, particularly in the food, beverage, and service sectors, which are highlights of Thailand's tourism industry.
This year, Thanachot Lohanimit from Find the Photo Booth claimed the title of Thailand's Best Bartender, distinguished by exceptional skills and limitless creativity. From 326 competitors who participated in various regional rounds, 36 advanced to yesterday's semi-finals, with the finals taking place today. The winner will represent Thailand to compete against bartenders from around the world at the Diageo World Class Global Finals 2025 in Toronto, Canada, this September.
Mr. Puneet Narang, Managing Director of Diageo Moët Hennessy (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said: "The Diageo World Class Thailand competition is a source of pride for Diageo, serving as a gateway for Thai bartenders to showcase their skills on the global stage for more than a decade. It also provides an opportunity for Diageo, as a global alcoholic beverage company, to share our expertise in bartending and mixology to develop and elevate the skills of Thai bartenders, helping them evolve, keep pace with consumer trends and serve responsibly. This is achieved through both training programmes and carefully designed competition challenges that sharpen Thai bartenders' skills, aligning with SOCIETY 2030: SPIRIT OF PROGRESS, Diageo's 10-year sustainability action plan, in the area of industry personnel development. This year, with the Premiumisation trend remaining strong among consumers, we challenged competitors with premium-style drink-making tasks, encouraging creativity and innovation while promoting the use of local ingredients to add value to domestic products. We believe this will refine and elevate bartending standards to meet the needs of both Thai and foreign consumers, while simultaneously adding value to Thai local products and ingredients."
