Hypotension is when blood pressure drops below normal ranges, usually 90/60 mmHg. It can cause dizziness, light headedness and fatigue. The causes could be dehydration, some medications, a heart problem, or a vasovagal response (a temporary drop in BP in response to a trigger, like prolonged standing or strong emotions). Many people have heard of hypertension – high blood pressure. Hypotension is the opposite. If your condition does not improve after the intake of a lot of fluids, then you will need to see a specialist doctor for help.
