PPP, JUI-F condemn US attack on Iran

Pakistsn People's Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal) on Sunday condemned United States' military strike on Iran.

The two parties denounced the attack, describing it as a violation of international law, a threat to regional peace, and an assault on the Muslim world.

PPP Secretary General Humayun Khan termed the US assault as a 'grave violation of international law and a serious attack on peace.' He stressed that the time had come for the Muslim Ummah to unite against foreign aggression. 'Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with the oppressed people of Iran and Gaza,' he said, urging the United Nations to speak out against American aggression.

Echoing these concerns, PPP Central Secretary Information Nadeem Afzal Chan said the US strike on Iran was not only a threat to one country but an attack on the entire region's peace and stability. 'By violating Article 2(4) of the UN Charter and bypassing the Security Council, the US has shown contempt for international order,' Chan said. He called the US action a potential war crime and demanded the UN hold the aggressor accountable.

Chan also likened the US military approach to a larger pattern of unilateralism and dominance. 'The misuse of power has trampled the UN's principles and eroded the foundations of justice,' he warned, reiterating that the Muslim world must respond with unity and clarity.

The JUI-F also strongly condemned the US strike. Party spokesperson Aslam Ghauri said the attack had unmasked America's real face. 'The American cat is out of the bag-it has put world peace at risk,' he said in a fiery statement issued by the party's media cell.

Ghauri criticized Western 'double standards' and called out US foreign policy as being historically steeped in bloodshed. 'The hands of the US and Europe are drenched in human blood,' he said. 'Wherever there is bloodshed of humanity-especially Muslims-you'll find America's shadow behind it.'

He mocked the Nobel Peace Prize by suggesting that US President Donald Trump should be awarded the 'Nobel Prize for Terrorism' instead of peace.

'The US is not fighting terrorism-it is the biggest patron of terrorism,' Ghauri said, adding that the Islamic world must now take an unequivocal and firm stance. 'If America and Israel are not stopped, Muslim countries should prepare to wait for their turn.'
