Taco Mac suddenly closes Midtown location
Another Taco Mac location has shuttered its doors in Atlanta. The Midtown location suddenly closed its doors on Monday.
Taco Mac Metropolis was located in Midtown on Peachtree Street. An 11Alive crew drove by the former location and saw that the sign was removed from the building.
Google listed the business as permanently closed.
After checking the website's locations map, 11Alive noticed the Peachtree Street location no longer appeared. It's unclear why the location has closed.
It comes just weeks after Taco Mac closed its original location in Virginia Highlands , which will transition to a Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint. The restaurant stated that the Virginia Highlands location was a part of "a thoughtful evolution of Taco Mac's long-term strategy."
Taco Mac stated after announcing the closure of its Virginia Highlands location that as the chain expands throughout the southeast, it wants to invest in new markets and focus on locations that remain a top destination for game days.
The company has not made a statement about the Midtown location's sudden closure. 11Alive has reached out to the company for comment, but has not received a response.
