This Ferrari Is So Bad That Even Reddit Thought It Was Fake

The Italian supercar appears to be rocking a rear wing from Koenig. Painting the original wheels, roof, and pillars was not a good idea. A search of the 512’s license plate confirms it’s a Ferrari, not a replica. Some cars wear their age like a badge of honor. The Ferrari 512 TR, especially with its Pininfarina-designed roots tracing back to the Testarossa , is one of those machines that earned its status the hard way, through sheer presence and performance. So naturally, someone looked at this design icon and thought, “What if I gave it the flavor of a kit car from a used lot in Florida?” The result is a very expensive Ferrari that now resembles a Pontiac Fiero or a Toyota MR2-based replica , depending on how charitable you’re feeling. McLaren Drops 750S Special Edition, Which Honors Le Mans Legend

Nostalgia hits hard, and as it turns out, those shopping for six-figure supercars are not immune In 1995, McLaren ran, completed, and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time. The manufacturer’s race-ready McLaren F1 GTRs, which weren’t all that different from the road-going version, filled out four of the top five places. The ranks included, of course, the No. 59 car, which took first place. Now, the automaker is honoring the iconic race-winning car by bringing a special edition 750S to customers. View the 3 images of this gallery on the original article No performance changes, but plenty of aesthetic improvements As the No. 59 car wore grey to its winning race, it seems fitting that the McLaren 750S Le Mans is also offered in matching Le Mans Grey paint. Don’t worry — iconic McLaren Orange is also available, although not unique to the special edition. A roof scoop comes standard, as does McLaren’s new HDK (High Downforce Kit), the latter of which bundles a ...

The Porsche 911 Reboot is Quicker, Faster and More Evolved

I see a lot of sad faces staring out from Porsche’s monkey house these days. Born of racing and performance, the Stuttgart-based company now makes most of its money slamming together luxury SUVs in places like Bratislava. Having once perfected the shimmering, soul-shaking resonance of a naturally aspirated flat-six engine, Porsche now spends the majority of its R&D budget on electrification. Shhhh. Change falls particularly hard on the perennial 911 Carrera. Air-cooled, open-throated boxer engines are long gone. The 911 models available with a manual transmission are down to one (the 911 Carrera T). Analog gauges, levered hand brakes, hydraulically assisted steering. Porsche is fresh out of those bananas. With the latest design generation of the 911, Porsche has driven the monkey house into another frenzy. Code-named the 992.2, the reboot ushers in a new generation of exotically hybridized, voltage-enhanced engines/transmissions that will power Porsche from here to full el...
