Women AFCON (Morocco-2024): Four Moroccan referees appointed
Four Moroccan referees have been selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate at the final phase of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco-2024), which will take place from July 5 to 26. Bouchra Karboubi, who officiated at the 2023 Men’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire as well as at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is among the appointed central referees, alongside her compatriot Sabah Sadir, according to a CAF press release. Meanwhile, Fathia Jermoumi and Ishsane Nouajli will serve as assistant referees, the same source added. In total, forty-six referees, assistant referees, and video assistant referees (VAR) will be mobilized for this prestigious continental final phase, bringing together the best female match officials in Africa selected for the tournament.
