Alpinestars's All Terra Is the New Go-To For Adventure Motorcycle Gear

A lot more is coming soon, too.

I've been running Alpinestars gear in some way or fashion since I started riding motorcycles at 17. Pretty sure my first set of gloves were AStars, and I rode with them until I wore holes in the palms. And the brand is synonymous with safety—it's protected my butt countless times—comfort, style, and even a bit of runway fashion. Alpinestars x Balenciaga , anyone?

But for its next act, the glitz and glamour of Paris Fashion Week is being left behind for something far dirtier, far more adventurous, but still with that signature Alpinestars safety and construction.

As adventure riding has become more and more popular with the younger crowd of motorcyclists, and touring has taken hold of the older crowd as they trade in their Harleys for BMWs, Alpinestars saw a sector that, while it's already catered for, it could've gone further with. There was space for a bespoke lineup of adventure and touring motorcycle gear that's still part of the family, but also its own thing.

Say hello to Alpinestars' All Terra line, the home of everything off- and on-road adventure motorcycling.

First things first, according to an Alpinestars spokesperson, the brand's touring and adventure lines are being rebranded to All Terra and, moving forward, all subsequent new gear releases for those sectors will come under the All Terra branding. So there we go.

According to the brand, "For nearly two decades, Alpinestars has led the way in performance-driven apparel. Now the brand introduces All Terra, the result of its fully dedicated Product Development division—a new benchmark in adventure and long-distance riding gear. Developed in Alpinestars' in-house laboratory and tested by elite riders across six continents, All Terra has been engineered, tested, and proven its high-performance capabilities in the world's most unforgiving conditions – from the humid jungles of Southeast Asia to the Andean highlands, from the scorching African desert to North America’s unpredictable wilderness."

As such, to launch the new brand, All Terra dropped a number of adventure and touring pieces of gear ready for any and all adventures.

Returning for the 2025 riding season, but rebranded with the All Terra line, are Alpinestars' Andes Air Drystar and ST-7 2L Gore-Tex jackets, although they've been slightly updated with the brand's Plasma protection systems. You can pick up an Andes Air Drystar for $299.95, while the ST-7 2L will set you back $739.95.

With its debut, however, All Terra introduced two new more affordable jackets, including the ST-2 Air and Stella ST-2 Air jackets—$249.95 for either the men's or the women's—which according to the brand, will become your "go-to solution for summer touring adventures, engineered to deliver superior airflow and protection in a sleek and modern design." And from the looks of both, they look like excellent additions to your closet when the weather gets too toasty with their textile construction compared to a full-on adventure jacket.

They also both feature the brand's Nucleon Flex Plus Protectors on the elbows and shoulders, and is Tech-Air compatible, the brand's airbag system, which is fast becoming the way most folks ensure they're safer than ever riding a motorcycle. Both are CE-Level AA certified, as well.

"First, we've got to understand the real user in real conditions when we design All Terra products," says Robert Keathley, Product Developer for All Terra, adding, "If a rider is worried about how their gear fits, or if they're worried about cold air getting in, or water getting in, or something scratching, or not being able to bend their elbow because the protection is too rigid—or any gamut of things that you can think about that distract the rider—we try to eliminate that entirely because we don't want the gear to make the ride more dangerous because it's distracting. That's what we're after with every product—we’re trying to solve the problems that exist that people don't even know about."

The new All Terra products are already on sale, and based on the fact that a few of the jackets are already sold out, folks are clamoring for the initial drop from the new Alpinestars off-shoot. Hopefully, we can get our hands on some of these pieces real soon to give you our first impressions of the new kit.
