Highway 1 overnight lane closures between State Park Drive, Bay/Porter exits set for Monday
SANTA CRUZ — Transportation officials are preparing for an overnight closure of Highway 1 as roadwork continues between the Bay Avenue/Porter Street and State Park Drive interchanges. The closures will start at 9 p.m. Monday and last through 6:30 a.m. Tuesday with different variations of partial and full stoppages scheduled. From 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., travelers will encounter a single lane closure of the highway in the southbound direction from Bay Avenue/Porter Street to State Park Drive. Then, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., the highway will shift to a full closure of both southbound lanes within the same Mid County segment. During that period, a detour will direct southbound travelers off at the Bay/Porter exit where they can continue along Soquel Drive before rejoining the highway at the State Park Avenue onramp.
